The Dehradun Municipal Corporation has launched a new software for Online Property Tax Payment, mutation of property and grievance registration.
Many higher authorities believe that this software is going to be convenient and user friendly. Earlier, there were a large number of complaints about the Online Property Tax Payment software as it seemed the online portals didn’t work properly. Resulting to which the system was upgraded with a new software for better service.
The New Technology for the Online Tax Payment Facility was first started in February 2021 for the convenience of the citizens and reducing the crowd at the DMC offices.
According to trusted sources, the previous version was working on the state software but due to the increasing technical glitches, a private party had to intervene to develop the new software for better functioning.
The new software has been launched after running extensive tests and it will also be accessible from the Nagar Nigam website. The DMC officials have also claimed that Dehradun is the first city to have implemented the e-mutation process.
The software has been developed keeping in mind about public convenience and assistance. Applications and registrations will also be processed online through the new software. In case of property transfer, reports and field inspections will also be available online.
The users can track the whole process using the new software facility and updates will be notified for each and every step.
In case of undisputed properties, the property mutation process will be completed in 60days. It will take 90days for the disputed properties.
Complaint redressal will be done within 3-7days, depending on the severity of the case. A note of grievance will be resolved immediately.
